- Ricarica A+B > Ricarica C ( circa 130% )
- Consumo A+B > Consumo C ( circa 5%, ampiamente giustificato dalla maggiore ricarica )
- peso A+B << peso C ( scb 8 = 160 T, scb 4+4 = 20 T )
- Costo A+B << costo C ( scb 8 = 23 mil, scb 4+4 750k !! )
- T-load A+B > C ( con la 1.5 l'uso delle scb richiede, quasi obbligatoriamente gli Heat sink, il problema quindi poco si pone )
Da un interessante tabella trovata da Kardos notiamo:

a titolo esemplificativo si ha:
6A - 205 MJ /////// 5A - 185 MJ /////// 4A - 160 MJ
6B - 175 MJ /////// 5B - 160 MJ /////// 4B - 140 MJ
2x 6A - 410 MJ /////// 2x 5A - 370 MJ /////// 2x 4A - 320 MJ
2x 6B - 350 MJ /////// 2x 5B - 320 MJ /////// 2x 4B - 280 MJ
3x 5A - 555 MJ /////// 3x 4A - 480 MJ
3x 5B - 480 MJ /////// 3x 4B - 420 MJ
4x 5A - 740 MJ /////// 4x 4A - 640 MJ
4x 5B - 640 MJ /////// 4x 4B - 560 MJ
http://coriolis.io/outfit/federal_corve ... ted%20rev2
da cui si nota:
- 2 coppie di scb 3+4 al posto di 2 scb classe 7 ( che costano uno sproposito )
- Heat sink sufficienti a tutte le ricariche di scudo che si possono utilizzare

The following is the preliminary observation:
The considered SCB are all A rate.
Being A and B two generic scb classes; being C a SCB evaluated A+B=C
Using A+B at the same time compared to C alone we have:
-Recharge A+B> Recharge C (roughly 130%)
-Consumption A+B> Consumption C (about 5%, largely justified from a higher recharge)
-Weight A+B<< Weight C (scb 8 = 160T, scb 4+4= 20T)
-Cost A+B<<Cost C (scb 8 = 23M, scb 4+4 = 750k!!)
-T-load A+B>C (with patch 1.5 using a SCB requires almost mandatorily a Heat Sink, so that isn’t much of
a problem)
From an interesting chart found by Kardos we notice:

to simplify we have:
6A - 205 MJ /////// 5A - 185 MJ /////// 4A - 160 MJ
6B - 175 MJ /////// 5B - 160 MJ /////// 4B - 140 MJ
2x 6A - 410 MJ /////// 2x 5A - 370 MJ /////// 2x 4A - 320 MJ
2x 6B - 350 MJ /////// 2x 5B - 320 MJ /////// 2x 4B - 280 MJ
3x 5A - 555 MJ /////// 3x 4A - 480 MJ
3x 5B - 480 MJ /////// 3x 4B - 420 MJ
4x 5A - 740 MJ /////// 4x 4A - 640 MJ
4x 5B - 640 MJ /////// 4x 4B - 560 MJ
To recap, using 2 or more SCB of lower class compared to one higher class SCB involves:
- higher shield recharge
- lower costs
- higher class compartments empty and ready for other purposes (see next chapter)
- Higher thermal load, manageable by heat sink, now vital
To give an example, following is an experimental fit of a corvette i am currently testing:
http://coriolis.io/outfit/federal_corve ... ted%20rev2
noted from here:
- 2 scb couples 3+4 instead of 2 scb class 7 (which have a huge cost )
- Sufficient heat sink for any shield recharge usable
